3 Steps to Colocation

Getting started with Hosting.com's colocation service is easy. Our colocation experts will work with you to assess the amount of space you need within our data center, schedule your installation and plan for ongoing management, if necessary.

Step 1: Determine Your Needs

The amount of space required will be based on the size of your server solution and can range from a single server to dozens of racks or caged space. Your servers may be housed in one of our existing colocation racks or, for a larger solution, you can provide us with your own rack cabinets.

Step 2: Deliver and Install Your Hardware

Once the space has been reserved in our data center, the next step is to deliver the equipment. You can either deliver the equipment in person or have it shipped to our data center. Our infrastructure technicians will work with you to ensure your hardware safely reaches its new home.

Step 3: Manage Your Hardware

Although the server is physically located in our datacenter, you have full access to manage your solution. Remote access can be configured, or a visit to the data center can be scheduled at any time, 24x7. In addition, Hosting.com operations personnel are on staff 24x7 to assist you with manual reboots and onsite troubleshooting.
