Company recognized for its ability to execute and completeness of vision
Hosting.com, a leading provider of enterprise-class cloud-based application availability and recovery solutions, today announced its inclusion in Gartner’s new 2011 Magic Quadrant for Public Cloud Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS).
“We believe Hosting.com’s inclusion in this new Gartner Public Cloud Infrastructure report supports the solution enhancements we have made to service the needs of enterprises leveraging hosted cloud solutions such as Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) replication and automated managed services,” stated Art Zeile, CEO of Hosting.com. “We feel Gartner’s recognition of Hosting.com as a leading provider of cloud-based disaster recovery closely aligns with our mission to provide cost-effective and innovative cloud hosting and recovery solutions for our client’s critical applications.”
In the December 8, 2011 report, Gartner analysts, Lydia Leong and Ted Chamberlin, analyze the ability of public cloud IaaS providers to deliver a standardized and highly automated offering where compute resources, complemented by storage and networking capabilities, are owned and hosted by the service provider and offered to the customer on-demand.
As stated in the report, “Public cloud compute IaaS provides virtual machines (VMs), and associated storage and network resources, from a shared, multitenant pool of capacity. IaaS is delivered in a highly standardized manner, so it can be highly automated, and the customer can self-service. …Public cloud IaaS is not a commoditized service, and even providers with very similar offerings and underlying technologies often have sufficiently different implementations that there is a material difference in availability, performance, security and service features.”
Hosting.com has emerged as a leader in the data availability and recovery sector with a focus on the enterprise cloud hosting marketplace with six data centers, four cloud super sites, geographically-dispersed, and inter-connected; by providing expansive cloud management and professional services; and by providing an industry-leading web-based customer portal for managing cloud computing resources on-demand, self-provisioning, and advanced monitoring. In addition, Hosting.com’s cloud offers distinct high availability and disaster recovery solutions for companies needing production ready, enterprise-class technology.
