Hosting.com Introduces An Advanced Online Backup Solution
Hosting.com Introduces a New Product to Enhance Its Existing Backup Solutions
August 19, 2005 - (Louisville, KY) - Hosting.com is pleased to offer an advanced Online Backup solution that is safe, fast, and easy to use. As people proactively prepare for data emergencies, Hosting.com affords peace of mind by offering a backup solution that restores all important data files with only a few minutes of recovery work.
As an internet based service, Hosting.com's Online Backup allows for routine backup and recovery efforts through a secure and trusted server that not only automatically stores a copy of the hosted website, but also important documents and valuable business programs.
Mark Click, Sales Manager at Hosting.com says, "Our early beta customers have been ecstatic with its ease of use, quick restores, and flexible scheduling. People are ready to take this important step toward total Disaster Recovery and Business Continuance, and we are happy to provide them with a product that is rock solid."
The online backup solution was designed to routinely copy selected customer files to a private, secure location on the internet while using the existing internet connection. The process leaves no room for human error and allows for hassle-free backup. Clients also have the opportunity to view all the data on the server so that they can control the amount of data stored and selectively remove files as necessary.
The data is compressed using 448 bit level encryption. Two different versions of the same file are compared including what is stored on Hosting.com's server and what is currently being backed up. The differences are extracted from the files and are saved into a new compressed file on Hosting.com's server, which is usually 85% to 99% smaller than the original file.
A special string of text encrypts all data that is stored on the server along with military-grade encryption allowing Hosting.com to provide its clients with the safest and fastest online backup solution available. Hosting.com can also copy clients' encrypted data files from their server onto a CD. The information cannot be seen as it is copied, which further raises the security level.
