SAN2SAN Replication provides continuous replication between your on-premise SAN environment to an identical SAN environment at a Hosting.com Datacenter. Your site and the Hosting.com recovery site stay in sync through continuous SAN data replication facilitated by EMC RecoverPoint appliances at both sites. Your replicated array-based storage systems are fully-managed and colocated in the Hosting.com Datacenter.
Hosting.com utilizes VMware’s Site Recovery Manager (SRM) to maintain shadow copies of the virtual machines at the customer site. The shadow copies are continuously replicated to the Hosting.com site so that the VMs system state is identical at both sites. During a recovery, SRM shuts down the VMs at the customer site in precise order based on priority and the corresponding VMs are brought online at the Hosting.com site in the same priority order.
The recovery Hosting.com environment provides you with a secure and remote copy of your data, and in the event of a disaster, restore critical operations in less than one hour.
