Hosting.com Signature Series Servers

All Signature Series Servers are configured with these features:

Signature Series Servers Features

HP ProLiant Servers
(no "desktop servers" or "white boxes")

Some hosting providers build servers from scratch to save money. This error prone practice of allowing novices to cobble together "servers" for customers is a common practice by budget hosting providers. A provider who elects this method generally pays 50% - 75% less than Hosting.com for their machines.

However, the old adage "you get what your pay for" definitely applies to those who build "white boxes" or "desktop servers". The hardware failure rate for "white boxes" is very high compared to our Signature series, scalability is difficult because of the different configurations from one machine to another, and security and performance is typically an afterthought. So that is why Hosting.com gladly pays more for its hardware. We think you’re worth it.

Remote Server Management

With our Remote Management technology, Signature Series clients can manage their servers through the entire life cycle remotely. This hardware-based technology, which is independent of the operating system, allows remote on/off power capability and remote consoling.

Dual Intel Pentium or Xeon Processors

All Signature Series servers come with dual Intel processors for better performance and reliability. Also, we only deploy Intel’s Pentium or Xeon lines, the most popular Intel lines which outperform and outlast the less expensive Intel Celeron line.

Hot Swappable SCSI drives with RAID

The most prominent type of hardware failure in a server is a hard drive failure. That is why we engineer all Signature Series solutions to include hot swappable SCSI hard drives with RAID configurations.

We could provide ATA or IDE drives for less, but isn't performance and convenience worth it? In the event of a hard drive failure, your server keeps on humming and we simply replace the drive at a scheduled time. You don't miss a beat.

Dual power supplies

The second most prominent type of hardware failure in a server is a failure of a power supply. Our Signature Series servers come with two power supplies standard. The combination of how swappable SCSI drives in a RAID configuration coupled with dual power supplies provides you with the redundancy you need at the server level to sleep easy at night.

All backed up with our 30 minute hardware replacement guarantee, the industry's best Service Level Agreement (SLA) for hardware.

Burstable connectivity (up to 10 Gbps)

Signature Series clients receive 100 Mbps uplinks to our redundant core network and have the ability to receive burstable connection up to 10 Gbps upon request within one or all of our data centers, providing a platform for geographical load distribution and load balancing.

Of course, all servers come with the following standard at no additional cost:

  • 100% Network Uptime Guarantee.
  • 30 Minute Hardware Replacement Guarantee.
  • 24 x 7 x 365 Delightful Support by trained professionals in the United States.
