How IntelliMail works:
- Your e-mail passes through Hosting.com's automated filters that detect suspected junk e-mail and viruses. You can modify your SPAM and virus filter settings at any time to better suit your personal preferences. We recommend you monitor your Message Center frequently after filters are set in order to see what is quarantined and make any adjustments.
- Suspicious e-mail is directed to your personal, web-based, password-protected Message Center (it does not arrive at your computer's inbox). Think of this as a quarantine area. In your Message Center you can read the quarantined e-mail online, delete it, or deliver (forward) it to your inbox.
- IntelliMail lets you "block" senders; meaning e-mail from them will always be filtered. Or you can "approve" senders; meaning their e-mail will always be delivered. The heuristic spam filters are also effective enough to identify 95% of spam to catch those not included on your Blocked Sender list.
- IntelliMail "remembers and learns" from your interaction in the message center so that as time goes by you will be able to rely on IntelliMail's periodic notifications of your Message Center activity.
Accessing your personal message center
You will receive an activation notice that contains password instructions for accessing your Message Center with a link to the login page. After you log in, you will see a new screen on the Message Center. If suspicious messages have been quarantined they will be displayed. You are the only one that has access to this password-protected site.
Notifications of quarantined e-mail
You will receive a periodic notice of all junk mail held in your Message Center. You can visit your Message Center to review them, or take no action. Quarantined messages will be automatically deleted on a periodic basis.
