Seamlessly integrate an internal infrastructure with a hosted solution for additional compute resources, offsite disaster recovery and to meet regulatory compliance.
Case Study
Our customer, a mid-size enterprise, had made the necessary capital investment to host their infrastructure in-house and was looking for an off-site disaster recovery solution. We believe this scenario will be applicable to many organizations that have invested the time and dollars in their internal environment and require access to an off-site replica of their data for disaster recovery and regulatory requirements.
Our customer is replicating from their data center to our Louisville data center. Once replication is established and synchronized, this ensures the customer’s data and applications are stored in a safe and secure Hosting.com facility. In the event of an outage at their data center, within 5 minutes, their employees and customers will be seamlessly redirected to the replica for all business operations. Once the outage is corrected, the customer’s IT Director can redirect traffic back to the primary location via the Hosting.com Customer Portal and all data will be restored.
This customer, and businesses large and small should utilize this solution when disaster recovery is necessary, but the costs are strictly prohibitive to build the solution internally. In addition, businesses will not have the hassles of hardware maintenance or contracts and will benefit by having their data and applications hosted in state-of-the-art geographically-dispersed data centers.
