Magic Quadrant for Managed Hosting

March 2012 - Challenger

The March 5, 2012 report, Gartner analysts, Ted Chamberlin and Lydia Leong state, “The most heavily weighted criteria for a hoster's ability to execute are service offering and service excellence, as reflected in the customer experience with sales, support and operations. The report is focused on the enterprise-class, managed hosting market, regardless of whether the hosting is done on physical servers or a virtualized infrastructure.” The report analyzes managed dedicated hosting, managed utility hosting, managed cloud hosting, and managed hybrid hosting.

Additionally, the report continues, “Overall business viability, as reflected in the ability to successfully service a customer over a three-year period without significant disruption, and the service provider's track record also contribute to this rating. Here, we emphasize immediate capabilities for the use cases that we see most often.”

Magic Quadrant for Public Cloud Infrastructure as a Service

December 2011 - Niche Provider

Once again, Hosting.com has been included in a Gartner Magic Quadrant. Gartner published a new Magic Quadrant for Public Cloud Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) that highlights Hosting.com along with other providers in the industry. The December 8, 2011 report analyzes the ability of public cloud IaaS providers to deliver a standardized and highly automated offering where compute resources, complemented by storage and networking capabilities, are owned and hosted by the service provider and offered to the customer on-demand.

Hosting.com has emerged as a leader in the data availability and recovery sector with a focus on the enterprise cloud hosting marketplace with six data centers, four cloud super sites, geographically-dispersed, and inter-connected; by providing expansive cloud management and professional services; and by providing an industry-leading web-based customer portal for managing cloud computing resources on-demand, self-provisioning, and advanced monitoring. In addition, Hosting.com’s cloud offers distinct high availability and disaster recovery solutions for companies needing production ready, enterprise-class technology.

Magic Quadrant - Cloud Infrastructure as a Service and Web Hosting

January 2011 - Niche Provider

Hosting.com was positioned in Gartner Research’s “2010 Magic Quadrant for Cloud Infrastructure as a Service and Web Hosting.” Gartner extensively researches the industry and publishes an annual report that lists the top service providers and their strengths. The report was made available on December 22, 2010 and written by Gartner analysts Lydia Leong and Ted Chamberlain.

Gartner wrote, “The market for traditional Web hosting services, especially for Internet and intranet Web content and applications, continues to grow. However, during the past two years, the introduction of cloud computing offerings has radically accelerated innovation in the hosting market 2010.”  This is Hosting.com’s first appearance in the report and we believe is indicative of the fast growth, up-market momentum Hosting.com has experienced over the past several years.

Hosting, com’s strong continuum of cloud-based business continuance and disaster recovery solutions continue to place Hosting.com in nearly all discussions about leaders within the service provider and hosting space.  Over the past 24 months, Hosting.com has built one of the world’s largest and most widely used enterprise-class cloud environments.
