Business continuity is not something that is implemented at the time of a disaster. Business continuity refers to those activities performed daily to maintain service, consistency, and application recoverability.
HOSTING’s Critical Availability Service™ (CAS) is recommended for applications that have the utmost need for accessibility and uptime. CAS provides a highly available architecture designed from the data center floor up to guarantee all mission-critical applications are available at all times.
The high-availability (HA) infrastructure is comprised of hosting in one of our geographically-dispersed data centers and five managed hosting services including:
- Firewalls - Implemented in a highly available configuration, delivering peace of mind and application security
- Load Balancing - Utilizes either our Shared HA or Dedicated HA traffic management platform
- Backups - Configured to allow for reliable data and systems protection and speedy recovery at time of disaster
- Advanced Monitoring - Allows us to proactively monitor your systems performance and notify you BEFORE an issue occurs
- Configurable Systems and Patching - Keeps your applications up to date while reducing management costs
The combination of the five redundant managed services provides the backbone necessary to guarantee applications are always available. To build reliable, secure and scalable solutions, we rely on our partnerships with industry-leading vendors such as Dell, Juniper, Coyote Point, EMC, Alert Logic and VMware.
In addition, all CAS customers receive a signed certificate demonstrating that their application environment is certified to be highly available.
Expert Provisioning, Onboarding and Support
All CAS customers experience our “white glove” enterprise customer implementation process and experience an onboarding process second to none. The implementation process is managed by an experienced project manager that is the single point of contact through the entire provisioning and certification experience. The project manager writes the implementation statement of work, works with the organization to create the proper test plan and manages the test plan through to successful completion and certification.
CAS is supported by an Entourage Support team which is a small group of highly trained and dedicated server engineers assigned to specific customers. The Entourage will work with an organization to ensure solutions have optimal performance and uptime.
Critical Service Level Agreement
The Critical SLA is like no other in the hosting industry – guaranteeing uptime levels and payouts that are unprecedented in the hosting industry. Should an application outage occur, our Critical SLA provides a payout of two times the entire monthly solution costs – that’s right, the entire solution; not by component as occurs with most industry SLAs. We recognize the importance of application availability to an organization's end customer, therefore we take the necessary infrastructure steps to guarantee the business is Always On.
