About the Load Balancer
Hosting.com's Load Balancing solution uses a Cisco Catalyst 6500 series content switching module (CSM). Establishing up to 165,000 connections per second, the CSM processes all network requests, analyzes their destination and routes them to the appropriate load balanced server. Hosting.comutilizes multiple CSM switches in each datacenter as an added level of redundancy and availability.
