Allow Programs through Firewall with Norton Internet Security

This guide will explain how to allow programs such as Outlook or similar to pass through NIS without being blocked or resulting in connectivity issues.

1. Open Norton Internet Security or Norton Personal Firewall
2. Click 'Personal Firewall'
3. Click 'Program Control' to enter the 'Personal Firewall General Settings' screen

   

4. Click 'Add' to open a window browser and navigate to the program you wish to add
5. You can select 'Allow' or specify custom options from the drop down on the right

NIS will usually ask you to allow or disallow an application, however sometimes it may fail, which is why checking or adding manually is a good way to check or make sure.
