Create a Cloud Enterprise Virtual Machine
The following article explains how to create an Cloud Enterprise Virtual Machine. During this process you will select all of the features of your virtual machine, including the operating system, disk space, memory, CPU utilization and software packages. Once your selections have been made, the virtual machine will be provisioned. At the conclusion of the provisioning process you will receive a setup email containing the login information for your virtual machine.
Note: The control panel will automatically select base hardware specifications based on the operating system and software selected to ensure your virtual machine will operate properly. You can increase these hardware specifications if you wish.
To create a virtual machine (VM), please follow these steps:
- Browse to the Customer Portal located at https://customer.hosting.com
- Login as the administrative user.
- If you have more than one account, select the appropriate account from the Current Account drop down in the top right corner.
- From the menu, click Cloud > Order Cloud Enterprise.
- Select the Basics tab and fill out the location, quantity, Operating System, CPU, RAM, and Disk Size.
- Click Next. Select the software you wish to have installed on the Cloud Enterprise Virtual Machine.
- Click Next. Enter in the services you wish to have with the VM.
- Click Next. An order summary will be displayed. To order the VM, click Purchase VM. The VM provisioning process will begin.This process may take up to 1 hour or more depending on the software and service options selected. Once the provisioning has completed, you will receive a setup email which will contain the login information for your virtual machine.
