Set permissions for control panel contacts

This guide discusses set permissions for your contacts in the Hosting.com control panel. After you create a new control panel contact, you can use this guide to assign them roles.

To assign permissions, please follow these steps:

  1. Open a browser window, and go to cp.hosting.com
  2. Click on Control Panel Login.
  3. Log into the Control Panel as the Account Administrator and select the appropriate domain.
  4. Click on Account & Billing and select Manage Contacts.
  5. Click on the + next to the contact you wish to change.
  6. Click Manage Permissions.
  7. Enable or disable the permissions you want to set. The current permissions are listed as a link, clicking on that link will switch the setting.
     
    Customer Control Center Login:  Allows the contact to log in to the control panel
    Edit Email Options:  Contact can edit email settings, including resetting passwords
    Frontpage User:  Enables contact to log in with frontpage to edit site. Also requires a frontpage user.
    FTP Access:  Allows contact to connect with ftp.
    Billing Emails:  Contact's email will be copied on billing emails.
    Technical Emails: Contact's email will be copied on technical emails
    Administrative Emails:  Contact's email will be copied on admin emails, and support tickets.
    Manage DNS:  Contact can adjust DNS zone settings
    Create Control Panel FTP Users:  Contact can make new FTP logins for the account.
    Edit Control Panel FTP Users:  Contact can adjust ftp user settings, and reset passwords
