Critical Availability Service (CAS) is a bundle of existing Hosting.com highly available managed services (firewall, load balancing, managed patching, managed backups, and advanced monitoring) bundled with an enhanced SLA to provide a single service able to deliver high availability and the utmost uptime.
How do I know if I need CAS?
If your business relies on any online application or system that simply cannot be offline or unavailable (to either your internal staff or your customers), then you are the ideal candidate for a CAS solution.
What are the main benefits of CAS?
There are no upfront capital costs to deal with, fast implementation (within hours) of all the services, and an enhanced SLA that backs our many guarantees.
What are the CAS guarantees?
Hosting.com guarantees 100% Uptime, Five Minute Notifications and One Hour Hardware Replacements.
What happens if there is an issue?
Within 5 minutes of an application or hardware issue, you will receive notification from Hosting.com. If the issue is hardware related, within one hour of problem identification, new hardware is installed and running.
What makes the CAS SLA enhanced?
The SLA backing the CAS solution is double the normal Hosting.com SLA. If your application is unavailable causing you to receive the benefits of the SLA, you get up to two times your entire monthly solution costs.
What Hosting.com services are available with CAS?
You can add CAS to your hosting solution if you have a dedicated server, Cloud Enterprise or a Cloud Private solution. At this time, the CAS bundle is not available for shared or VPS hosting plans, however you may still purchase CAS-related managed services separately for VPS plans.
