Managing DNS Zones from the Customer Portal
The following guide will walk you through managing your DNS Zone through the Customer Portal. A support video is also available at DNS and Domain Name Management through Customer Portal
Why Use The Customer Portal To Manage My DNS Zone?
Hosting.com recommends that you manage all of your DNS Zones directly from the Customer Portal, that way you have total control over your entries, at any time and any place.
Accessing The DNS Management Tool
- Log into the Customer Portal at https://customer.hosting.com
- From the top navigation hover over DNS & Domain Names and Select DNS Management

Within the "DNS Management" section, you will see the listing of any domains that have DNS managed with Hosting.com. Here you can modify existing DNS records for your domains or you can add a new Zone.

Add A Zone
Domain names that are not currently pointing to our name servers (ns1.lnhi.net, ns2.lnhi.net, ns3.lnhi.net) will be assigned a temporary "Host Name" and "IP address" to add in your current DNS management system for verification.
- Select Add A Zone
- Enter Domain Name, Primary IP, and optional MX Host
- Click Add
- If your domain returns as Unverified click the Unverified link to verify DNS Management
- Once the entry is verified the status will changed to Verified
