Managing Snapshots for Virtual Machine through Customer Portal

This article explains how to manage snapshots for your virtual machine. Through the Customer Portal you can create, delete and roll back to a snapshot of your virtual machine. The snapshot will capture all of the settings of your virtual machine at the time the snapshot was created. Snapshots are designed to be temporary backups of your virtual machine and are removed after 7 days.

  1. Log into the Customer Portal at https://customer.hosting.com
  2. portal_logon

  3. From the top navigation hover over Cloud and select Manage
  4. cloudmanage

  5. Select the Virtual Machine for which to manage Snapshots
  6. selectvm

  7. Expand Snapshots
  8. expandsnapshot

Create a Snapshot

  1. Click Create a New Snapshot
  2. Enter a Name and Description for the Snapshot and Click Create Snapshot
  3. createsnapshot

  4. You will receive notification upon Success
  5. createsnapshotsuccess

Delete a Snapshot

  1. Click Delete
  2. deletesnapshot

  3. Click OK

Revert to Snapshot

  1. Click Revert to this Snapshot
  2. reverttothissnapshot

  3. Click OK
