Automatic Domain Name Renewal
As a Customer you have the ability to control your domain name renewal status through the Customer Control Panel.
Auto Renew - domain names will automatically renew 7 days prior to the expiration date, and their credit card will automatically be charged
Manual Renew - the client can choose to renew the domain name anytime they wish within one year of expiration through the control panel
Let Expire - the client can let the domain expire without further notification
Keep Domain - similar to auto renew, used for domains associated with hosting accounts set to manual renew.
Key points to keep in mind:
- You can change the status of domains at any time through the control panel
- Email notification of the domain status change will be sent to the account admin on record each time the status is changed
- In the event a credit card is declined for any reason, the domain will not be renewed and will be set to manual renewal.
Auto renew is only available for clients that pay by credit card.
