Lock/Unlock my domain
This article goes over to how lock or unlock a domain that is registered with Hosting.com. This is used if you wish to transfer the domain away from us or if you wish to update the name server records.
- In a web browser, navigate to https://manage.opensrs.net
- Enter in the domain name that is being updated, the username for the domain, and the password for the domain. The username and password are typically the administrative username and password for the account. . Click Manage Domain. If the username and password does not work, please contact us.
- Once logged in, navigate to Domain Locking.
- If you wish to unlock the domain (typically used for transferring the domain elsewhere or updating the name server records), click Disable and then Submit. We recommend keeping the domain locked at all times for security reasons.
