Configure Snow Leopard Mail for Exchange

The following article explains how to download mail from your hosting.com account using Mac Mail for Mac OS X Snow Leopard.  If you need to setup Apple Mail for non-exchange accounts, see this support article: How do I configure Mac OS X Mail for my Email Accounts?

  1. Open the mail program by clicking the Mail icon in the dock
  2. Go to File > Add Account. You will see the below screen:

  3. Click Continue
  4. On the next screen, select Exchange 2007 from the drop down. Then the following fields need to be filled in:
    • Description: HMC, although anything can go in this field
    • Full Name: <your full name>
    • Incoming Mail Server: webmail.myexchangeemail.com
    • User Name: username_domain.  For example if your email address is support@hosting.com, you would enter "support_hosting" leaving off the TLD extension
    • Password: <your email password>
  5. Make sure you check the boxes for Address Book Contacts and iCal Calendars so those will sync with Apple Mail

  6. Click Continue and take the account online
