What is the MX Record for an Exchange account?

To receive email to your Hosted Exchange account, you will need to point the MX record for the domain name to our gateway server. If you are using a Split Domain configuration, the gateway server will receive the email and then route each message properly, either to our Exchange Server or to your 3rd party mail application.

Before updating your MX record, we strongly recommend you configure your Exchange mailboxes first so that you will not lose any email during the transition.
