Why can't I upload specific image files to my store?

The following article explains why certain image types may not be uploaded to a MIVA Merchant store. The default installation of MIVA Merchant allows for the following file types: gif, jpg, jpeg, jpe and xbm. The list of file types is case sensitive, so if you are attempting to upload an image, make sure the file extension uses lowercase letters and matches one of the extensions in the above list. You also have the option to add additional file extensions.

To add image file extensions, please follow these steps:

1. Log into the MIVA Merchant Admin section located at http://store.domainname.com/merchant2/admin.mvc. If this address does not work, you may need to use http://domainname.com/merchant2/admin.mvc. Older MIVA Merchant stores were configured with this address.
2. Click Domain Settings.
3. Click Upload Settings from the menu.
4. Enter the additional file extensions separated by commas with no spaces in between.
5. Click Update.
