How can I move my MIVA Merchant store from another host to HostMySite?

The following article explains how to move a MIVA Merchant store from another host to HostMySite. The process involves moving all of the MIVA Merchant data from the old host to our servers.

To move your MIVA Merchant store to HostMySite, please follow these steps:

1. Log into your MIVA Merchant Admin section at your current host. The login information should be provided by the host.
2. Expand the Stores menu.
3. Click on the Store Name.
4. Write down the Store Code and Store Name.
5. Download the data folder, scripts folder and mysql database (if applicable) for your Miva store (usually located outside your websites folder) from your current host. Access to these files/folders can be granted by the host.
6. Download the graphics folder (located in the Merchant# folder) from your current host. Access to this folder can be granted by the host.
7. Purchase any hosting plan from HostMySite and choose the MIVA Merchant 5 add-on.
8. Upon receiving your setup email, upload the folders from step 5 to your websites folder. Place them in a directory called mystore.
9. Contact support@hostmysite.com and include the path to where you stored your MIVA Merchant files from your old host.

Once the above is performed, tech support will copy the files to the correct location and the next time you log into the MIVA Merchant admin section your store should be there.
