SiteBuilder and Plesk

This article goes over using SiteBuilder and Plesk within the Plesk 10 interface for Linux.  SiteBuilder is an application included in a Plesk license that will allow a customer to design a site.

  1. Log into the Plesk administrative interface by navigating to https://<ip_address>:8443 as the server administrator.  A self-signed certificate may show an error in the browser in which case it is OK to accept the self-signed SSL.
  2. Once logged in, click the Control Panel link next to the domain under the Domains listing.
  3. The control panel for the domain will show in the new tab or new window.  Click the Launch SiteBuilder link.

  5. This will launch SiteBuilder.  This first selection is the template for the site to use.  Choose a template from the pre-existing templates and click Create Site

  7. After clicking Create Site, a dialog box will appear where you can enter in the company information, address, etc.

After entering your information, click Submit and Create Site.  The site will begin to initialize with the selected template.  After doing so, the template will be displayed to you.  From there, you can further configure the site content as this is as WYSIWYG editor using the launch bar.  Within the launch bar, you can change the metadata for the site, layout, colors, modules, pages, and other styles to your liking.   Once finished, click Publish and the changes in the template will be published live to the site.
