Unsuspend A Domain During A Plesk Backup
With Plesk 8 and 9, it is possible to take your domain offline during a backup. This may not be an ideal practice as this means your entire website or FTP access is not unavailable. This is due to the "Suspend domain until backup task is completed" checkbox being selected.

If that happens, your hosted Plesk domain will be unaccessible until that backup is completed. Depending on the size of the backup or the number of backups being ran, it could be sone time until your domain and content becomes available to you.
However it is possible to bypass this and unsuspend your domain.
- Log into your server via SSH/Shell.
- Once you have logged in, you will need to run the following command. What this command does is tell Plesk to unsuspend the domain by running the enable status on it.
- Once you have done this, you will get a confirmation from your server, indicating that the command was ran successfully.
/usr/local/psa/domain -u Your domain.com -status enabled
Success: Update of Your Domain.com complete
You will now be able to access the domain while it is being backed up.
