File Extensions that are Blocked for Hosted Messaging and Collaboration (HMC) SharePoint
By default, Windows SharePoint services blocks a large number of file extensions from being uploaded, downloaded or accessed. This is done to protect the server that stores the files as well as the users attempting to access the files. Files with these extensions have the potential to cause harm or contain malicious code.
