Change my default settings for existing users in SmarterMail

This guide discusses how to set up default user settings in SmarterMail 5. It will change the settings used for existing users only, new users will not be affected.

1. Open a browser window and go to one of the following URLs:
   • http://mail.domainname.com
   • http://mail#.safesecureweb.com (this address is provided in the setup email)
2. Login as root@domainname.com with the password supplied in your setup email.
3. From the top menu bar, click Settings.

   

4. Expand Advanced Settings and choose User Propagation.

   

5. Make your desired changes and click Propagate Now.

   

Only those options that are checked will be changed, and will be pushed to all users.
