Change my default settings for new users in SmarterMail

This guide discusses how to set up default user settings in SmarterMail 5. It will change the settings used for new users only, existing users will not be affected.

To change the defaults:

1. Open a browser window and go to one of the following URLs:
   • http://mail.domainname.com
   • http://mail#.safesecureweb.com (this address is provided in the setup email)
2. Login as root@domainname.com with the password supplied in your setup email.
3. From the top menu bar, click Settings.

   

4. Expand Advanced Settings and choose Default User Settings.

   

5. Make your desired changes and click Save.
