Impersonate a user via SmarterMail

This article will go over impersonating a user in SmarterMail as the server administrative user. This is only for Dedicated and Cloud Windows servers. This does not apply to shared accounts.

1. Log into SmarterMail admin. This is typically http://<server_IP_address>:9998
2. Once logged in, click Manage
3. Navigate to Domains > All Domains

   

4. Right-click the domain and choose Impersonate where you can impersonate a specific user or the domain administrator

   

A new window/tab will appear (make sure you have your pop-up blocker turned off) which contains the impersonation of the SmarterMail user.
