Activate my SmarterStats license

The following article explains how to activate your free SmarterStats license for your Windows Virtual Server. SmarterStats can be used to analyze visitor activity and site traffic for each domain on your VPS server. It displays the results in a graphical format. Each account comes with one free bundle from SmarterTools.com.

Once your license is activated, you can access SmarterStats in a Web browser using http://ip_address:9999. If you need the license sent to you, please contact us.

1. Log into your server through Remote Desktop Connection (instructions for connecting to your server through RDC can be found here).
2. Double-click the Log into SmarterStats icon on your desktop.

   

3. Login as the administrator using the following information:
   • Site ID: admin
   • Username: admin
   • Password: admin

     

   If for any reason this does not work, please reset the information following Reset Administrator Username and Password in SmarterStats 4.x

4. From the top navigation bar, click Settings. Drill down to the Activation > Licensing link and click it.

   

   

5. Click the Activate icon.

   

6. Enter the requested information:
   • License Key: enter the license key from SmarterTools
   • Email Address: enter the email address that received the email from SmarterTools
   • Password: enter the password as listed in the email from smartertools.com with the licensing information.
7. Click Activate Now.

You have now successfully activated the 50 domain license for SmarterStats. If you wish to upgrade this license, please contact SmarterTools.
